SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM
KS School of Classical Ballet (SCB) is the exclusive training center for talented dancers
pursuing excellence in dance.
SCB trains students from beginner to advance levels effectively with our fundamental principles based on technical proficiency
and incorporating body conditioning.
SCB is committed to following
a structured class syllabus
Our methodical and established syllabus is designed to train students effectively from a young age to an advanced level. This approach ensures that each student is learning what is appropriate for his or her age and class level.
Emphasis is placed on:
Identifying
and performing
specific positions
and steps.
Identifying
and performing
these steps using
the accurate
ballet vocabulary.
Understanding
correct body
alignment.
Knowing and
demonstrating
proper classroom
etiquette

Starting in Ballet 1, students have required evaluations at least once
a year by qualified adjudicators from equally respected ballet studios
and/or professional dance companies.
The objectives of the evaluations are:
- To evaluate students’ progression through the SCB syllabus.
- Motivate students to improve in a healthy, unbiased way.
- Provide reasonable curriculum guidelines for SCB professional faculty.
- Present faculty with the additional perspectives of impartial colleagues.
To provide personalized attention and the highest standard of training available to ensure technical and artistic growth for each student, our class sizes are limited.
With smaller class sizes, students reach their optimal potential faster and with precise technique.
All classes have limited enrollment.

Integrated with these physical concepts are the intellectual concepts:

Contact the school to find out how to engage your budding dancer in movement and dance classes. No auditions or previous experience required.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
The Pre-Professional Program, for ages 8+ years and up, provides training that meet the highest artistic standards and prepares students to transition to the rigorous environment of a college program, a professional company, or other professional careers in ballet.
Students train intensively up to five days a week, depending on their progression. Our purposeful and comprehensive syllabus is multi-disciplined, with an emphasis on:
- Identifying and performing specific positions and steps
- Ability to identify these steps using the accurate ballet vocabulary
- Correct understanding of body mechanics and alignment
The curriculum includes classical ballet technique, pointe, repertoire, body conditioning, and modern. An essential part of our training incorporates body conditioning at all levels to enhance and increase a student’s ability to learn to dance.
Admission is by audition only. Students accepted to the Pre-Professional Program are required to take all scheduled classes for their assigned level.
