SCHEDULES AND CALENDARS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Contact the school for the current class schedule and calendar.

All students enrolling in the Pre-Professional program are admitted by audition, at which time they will be assigned to the appropriate class level. Placement – based on age, audition results, and previous dance experience – is at the sole discretion of the SCB faculty. A student’s advancement is based on his or her ability to accomplish the elements as established by the SCB syllabus. Readiness for pointe shoes will be determined by the faculty.
Students are registering for the full year and will be responsible for the full year tuition, except for students in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet Basics who have the option to enroll for fall, spring, or both semesters. All students, new and returning, are required to pay the registration fee. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the event of a serious illness or injury. Requests for refunds must be accompanied by a doctor’s certificate of inability to continue class. Students withdrawing for medical reason may receive credit for future classes.
Contact the school to arrange an audition, to receive registration material, or for more information.
SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL AID
Our mission is to serve the community and to ensure that those with sincere interest and passion for classical ballet and a commitment to work hard should have the opportunity to dance regardless of socio-economic status. Since our inaugural year, SCB has awarded scholarships to students ranging from ages 6-18 years old and of all levels. Scholarship recipients have included students, both local and international, from our School Year Program and Summer Programs.
SCB belief is that a successful scholarship program requires a fully vested student along with support from the student’s family.
Ballet education is an investment of effort, time, and money from all parties – student, parents, and school. While SCB is committed to promote dance education to all regardless of their financial status, a certain degree of monetary contribution aligned with the family’s financial situation ensure that all involved has an equal stake in the student’s success.
The Scholarship and Financial Aid Program is intended to assist and not fully fund the entire tuition fees of the applicant.

REQUIREMENTS
All scholarship and financial aid is based on available funds for the given year. Registered students 18 years and younger may apply. The applicant’s ability, attendance, commitment, attitude, and maturity will be taken into consideration. Scholarship and financial aid recipients serve as important role models for the school and will be required to abide by the Scholarship/Financial Aid Agreement.
Scholarships and financial aid is available for the School Year Program and Summer Program. The application process for both programs is independent of each other. Awards are granted at the beginning of the School Year Program and Summer Program, and at the discretion of the SCB Board of Directors. Awards are valid for the current program only.
Upon review of qualification for assistance, applicants will be ranked in order of assistance priority based on teacher feedback regarding the applicant’s:
• Level of commitment
• Level of effort
• Level of potential
• Level of aspiration
Scholarship and financial aid recipients will meet with the school directors to define an appropriate work-study structure based on age and schedule. Recipients will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their personal investment in their ballet education by taking on assigned responsibilities around the school.
